The thirteenth of September, 2011: a bohemian lesbo vibe, and a lunatic attack on London

I love the view of London from Hampstead Heath. There are many good things about Hampstead Heath, not least its Parkrun and the fact that its female-only bathing pools have (I’m told) a “1920s Hampstead bohemian lesbo vibe”. But the view is the best bit.

It’s true that enjoying the view from the prime viewing spot of Kite Hill puts you at risk of having an important body-part severed by a brightly coloured kite-string – so hooray for these splendid panoramas, which mean that you can enjoy the simple joy of tall buildings seen from afar.

What’s particularly good about these panoramas is that they’re slightly out of date, which means that you don’t have to look at the goddamn Shard (see also here).
