The twenty-fifth of May, 2011: not one of them with an ounce of bloody hope left

Continuing the ‘North and South’ theme I picked up yesterday as a nod to the tremendously exciting Liars’ League Leeds… here’s one of the most northern bits of film you will ever see. It features three fundamental pillars of northern culture: brass bands, mining and the late Pete Postlethwaite. Also, swearing.

The film is, of course, Mark Herman’s Brassed Off (1996).
